I am unable to browse the internet with Redhat 9. I am using a dlink GLB502T router/modem configured to work in bridge mode. It works well in Windows with same settings. I have assigned a static ip address to eth0 and the local network connection status shows Active under rehat-config-network. My router ip address is set as the gateway. Also, DNS ip addrres are set for eth0. I created a xdsl connection for my broadband connection with user and password as givn by my ISP. I am able to connect via pppoe to my ISP using this xdsl connection and xdsl status shows active.

Here is the problem, despite both eth0 and xdsl connection showing active status, i am unable to browse. When I open the browser (Mozilla), I get "could not open www.google.com." I get the initial offline Redhat activate page, but i am unable to connect to www.redhat.com too.

I hope somebody has had the same prob and can help me.

Antony
