Using Slack 8.1 I'm able to connect to my isp
and access the web for anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes and then start getting the error
message "could not locate remote server". Then it disconnects.
I use the same setup in MDK 8.2 and have no problems. I've tried to compare/change any
files I thought were related to ppp with those of MDK. etc/hosts,etc/hosts.allow,deny ,resolve.conf.
By connecting at all should narrow the problem but after much time spent ,I've decided to ask for help.
I'm using KDE. And an app called "xisp". I've had better luck with that than kppp.
Anybody?
