Hi,

I'd be grateful for any advice you can give on the following:

If I logon as "root" to our RedHat linux v2.4.9 computer, and simply type "cat /proc/devices", I get the error message "segmentation fault". Is there any way that I can repair this ? Rebooting doesn't seem to help.

The problem started when I tried installing a software module into the kernel using the insmod command. The module was visible in /proc/modules but not in /proc/devices.

Cheers,
Matthew
