Hello....I am very new to Linux and would like to connect through my cable modem. I set up all of the tcp/ip info correctly but still get no connection. I tried both static and dhcp ip setups. I added my h[computer name] to the /etc/init.d/dhcpcd file. I also renamed the S20ppp files to backup in both the rc3.d and rc2.d folders. This did not seem to help. Is there anything else i can do? Is there anyone out there who connected successfuly to their cable modem. Please help. How would I know if my network card is being run correctly by linux drivers? I am dying here. Please throw me a bone.
