copy folder problem

OS: redhat linux8.
CPU/Ram: 256mb

hi guys,
im using redhat liux8.0 with windows2000 server fat32 partition (dual boot). i just downloaded some files in linux n i want move that directory to windows directory which is mounted on /mnt/wind..

when i use #cp -r *. /mnt/wind
nothing is happened..
i tried with different options..
pls help me exact cmd , coz im new to linux..

In linux the . means current directory. So with ./mnt/wind you were trying to copy the files to the cwd(where you where)/mnt/wind . Do what was suggested by Wolfbone and you'll be fine.
