Hi all and thanks in advance for helping... I have a box running red hat v7.0, Kernel 2.2.16.22. I can’t login into my machine via console or telnet ... if i try via console, the login prompt appears but not the password prompt ... via telnet, no prompts appear.
But fortunately we can properly login via GUI and Single user mode. We need to use console login

Dumb question but did you try logging into console anyway? All you normally get is login: and then you press enter, then you'll see the password screen
