i have a bsnl broadband connection. with a wireless modem. i have installed ubuntu recently and cannot connect to the internet. please help me with detailed instructions on how to connect. thank you.
Configuring the wireless with many Linux distros can be difficult to say the least...it depends on the chip your wireless card is based on. You *may* have to load NDISwrapper & install your Windows driver. See if this helps:

Have fun. Im using a very old and unsupported version of Ubuntu 6.10. I had to use ndiswrapper to encapsulate the windows driver because at the time my belkin wireless card was not supported on the distro. If you have a look under Ubuntu forums under my user name you may find my original post from some years back on "how to".
