Configuring monitor in RH 9

Hi all,
I'm having problems configuring my monitor (Mag Innovision) in Red Hat 9.0. The screen goes blank with a message saying frequency out of range or something. Now I'm using the installation disk in rescue mode to log on and try and configure the monitor.
I'm used to older versions of RH, and someone told me Xconfigurator is no longer used by Red Hat 9. Is this true? If so, what is the alternative? If it isn't true, does anyone know the general path to Xconfigurator?

I think under redhat you want to use "redhat-config-xsetup" or similar. xf86cfg and xf86config may also be available. Alternatively you can always edit /etc/X11/XF86Config(-4) by hand, it sounds like you need to enter the correct horizontal and vertical sync values for your monitor.
