Can anyone help me please? I have a Pentium II with Settings: STANDARD CMOS SETUP, SpeedEasy CPU SETUP, BIOS FEATURES SETUP, CHIPSET FEATURES SETUP, POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP, PNP/PCI CONFIGURATION, LOAD SETUP DEFAULTS, INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS, System Monitor, SecurityEasy SETUP, PASSWORD SETTING, IDE HDD AUTO DETECTION, SAVE & EXIT SETUP, EXIT WITHOUT SAVING. Does anyone know the settings for each setup, please reply or message me, i cant get on anything except the settings which i put above. Thank you in advance.

What does this have to do with Linux? It's a hardware question. We'd need to know the make/model of your motherboard, which CPU you have & also the RAM info.

Can't help you without that info. You're posting in the wrong forum anyway...like I said, it's a hardware question. Are you running Linix on your system? For the OS you put N/A so you haven't provided us with ANY useful info.

What seems to be the problem with your system & why are you messing with the BIOS settings in the 1st place? If you select "load setup defaults", that will get you going, but the settings won't be optimal.

The Linux forum is lightly used. If you want your question(s) answered more quickly, repost in the hardware forum which is more heavily used. And change the title of your post or it *may* get deleted by the moderator due to "cross posting".

If it is working then don't mess with any of them.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Its not working at all when i click the default settings it still dont work. Think ill just throw it away. Thanks anyway.

cmos problem?? take out battery and move jumpers. then put it back. is it this section for linux os ? why asking about hardware?
