I did search for quite a while but didn't find any howto. This webcam / digital cam is quite popular so I though I could ask: has anyone managed to use it (logitech clicksmart 310) under linux?

So you have Mandrake 9.0?
If it is a common Webcam you probably don have to install anything. I don't have a common one and it worked straight away. Mandrake comes with the following software. If you cant find them try to seach the softwaremanager for the folowing rpms. For Webcams try
Gqcam, GnomemeetingIf you have a Digicam try
GTKam, GPhotoIf it still does not work, go to the Logtech Homepage and try to find out what chip the kind of camara has. Then you'll find out (google: chiptype+linux) what driver you need. But probably you don#t have to da that.
If all that fails. Download the gqcam binaries and compile them with./configure
make
make installThis worked with my old webcam on a redhat 7.0 system.
