changing system byte to linux

hi!,
after partitioning with fips, it give d: type: pri dos, system : unknown. my fips document says that i should change system bytes to linux using "Linux fdisk" . but how to do that . any info its urgent.thanks

run fdisk on the drive that you want. Once in fdisk, you will want it "t" to change a partition's system id, and then the partition number, and then the partityon type you wnat, you can hit l for a list of known types, or look at the list below.
