I've now attempted to install both Fedora and RedHat on my laptop. I format the bootdisk with rawrite and boot from the floppy (I can't boot from CD). Once I load up the graphical install program the bootdisk won't recognize the install CD in my CD-ROM/DVD drive. It does show the device when linux starts up. I thought it might just be a laptop issue so I put the first install CD in my desktop (that can boot from CD) and it couldn't boot either. This has happened with both start discs for Fedora and RedHat. I burn the CDs as ISOs with Roxio but the resulting files on the CD don't have an /images folder anywhere or a rawrite program (as it says in the tutorial).
Anyone have any ideas? Maybe I'm burning ISOs wrong?

It does sound like you are not burning the CDs quite right. After burning the CD do you see several files and directories on it or just one big file? I don't know about roxio but you can download a trial version of nero (www.ahead.de) and burn the discs by choosing "Burn Image" from the file menu.
