.dat files actually do not exist. They are "virtual" files created as a workaround for some of the brain-damages of windows. VCDs contain "raw" data, they can be played with MPlayer - (http://www.mplayerhq.hu), xine - (xine.sourceforge.net) and a few more.
Windows not found (C)heers, (P)arty or (D)ance?
