Comment:
I just reinstalled my RedHat 7.2. But I can't mount my cdrom. When I do: mount /mnt/cdrom I get: /dev/cdrom is not a valid block device The cdrom worked fine during install and it worked fine before the reinstall. Any Ideas?

Check your /etc/fstab file and make sure it has a mention of the cdrom, I cant tell you exactly what to look for but take a look at it, paste it here if you can.

Your cdroms may be listed under different devices in /dev. They could be: /dev/cdrom /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /dev/sr0 /dev/dvd /dev/cdrw /dev/hdc
