I have a Athlon-based computer with 128 SDRAM and 15GB Maxtor harddisk in which the Windows 98 is intalled. It's allocated to the Primary Partition, the Extended Parttition is divided into 2 logical partitions where a part of it is reserved for Linux O/S. So, all together i have 3 partitions.
Here is my problem during the Red Hat 6.0 installation. After configuring the keyboard and mouse setting, i come to the selection of Disk Druid and fdisk, i choose the first and the error message generated as below:
Fdisk Error
An error occurred reading the parttition table for the block device hda. The error was: No such file or directory.followed by (after pressing Skip)
No Drives Found
An error has occurred - no valid devices were found on which to create new file systems. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem. Can you figure out what the problem is?
regards,
Peter
