I recently tried to install linux on my system. I've tried Ubuntu and Mandriva and they both give me a "cannot detect CD-Rom drive". I have a Lite-on SHM-165H6S with an intel motherboard. Its a new PC that I built and I didn't install the drivers for it on windows, but that shouldn't affect it before windows loads huh? I also just updated the firmware on it.
