The one i recently installed cant get online for some reason. it loaded drivers for my ethernet card, but wont allow me to access the net. when booting it says eth0.....failed. why is this happening? Thanks for any feedback. J

Ckeck your settings with ifconfig to make sure that the entries for eth0 are correct. You can also make changes with ifconfig: # ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1 bradcast 192.168.0.255 netmask 255.255.255.0 Obviously you may have to change the numbers to reflect your own network. You can turn the interface on and off with ifconfig too: # ifconfig eth0 up and # ifconfig eth0 down
