Can't format partitions in slackwar

Hi, I am installing Slackware via a software called Netsweeper. Through the installation wizard, cfdisk is used to partition the hard drive. After the partitions are created, the installation wizard is then supposed to bring a format screen. It doesn't. It says "No partitions created". so I tried using fdisk in the alternate console. fdisk -l /dev/sda/ listed a total of 8 partitions, 6 of type 4.2BSD, 1 swap and 1 unused. So I created and wrote the partitions there. Then I rebooted. The installation wizard gave me the same error "no Partitions created". so I went into the alternate console and typed fdisk -l /dev/sda/ and guess what? it listed a total of 8 partitions, 6 of type 4.2BSD, 1 swap and 1 unused. What's the problem??? Please someone help!!!!

Sounds like you have the partition types set to BSD (type 9f?) instead of Linux; types 82 (for swap) and 83 for the filesystem.
I have never heard of using netsweeper to install slackware....I thought it was for content filtering. Why not just install slackware normally?

Some people just try to make it harder than it should and when they run into problems, guess what they would do, they whine about how hard it is compare to Windows!!! I've never heard of that Netsweeper either. 3Dave probably thinks of WebSweeper... Go with the real stuff--Slackware--and see what happens next!
