If I have a CD either in the CD or in the CD-RW player while running Linux, the EJECT button in the drives stop responding... To eject the CD's I have to reboot my system. If I don't have any CD's in the drives, the EJECT button works fine. Anyone can help moi?

You must unmount the cd. Just like all drives in linux you must mount to access that drive. (hard drives, floppys, etc...)

The GUI probably mounts it and you don't know it.

Without making the GUI unmount it, from the command line run this command.

#umount /mnt/cdrom

Good Luck!!

not if you have SUPERMOUNT , it will work just like a Winblows machine ....

Supermount is on all the newer Mandrake installations, they do some cool stuff
