high.

update your version of lilo, get the url from freshmeat.net. then in /etc/lilo.conf add lba32, or when running lilo use /sbin/lilo -v -L

Hello.

The first time i installed linux, i had the same problem, only it showed me nothing that could relate to the boot problem. Mine kept printing "01" on the screen repeatedly. I formatted the drive again, and used Paritition Magic to mege the linux drive back to my windows drive in order to fix the problem, i then used PM again to re-create the linux paritition from the windows partition, and this time PM separated the first 1024 cylinders down evenly between the windows and linux partitions. i also made the swap part. while making the linux, which then took me to dos, and took about an hour for the free space to get converted, and for the windows data to get moved without corruption. Note this: when PM asks you if you will be installing an OS on the new partition, select "yes", that way there should be no problems.

Hope this helps in any way

Vlado
