Reply: (edit)Always post the complete model number of any component you need help with! If your SATA controller can be set to IDE compabibility mode in the BIOS the install may work. If you go to intel.com, you can download a manual in the support section.

Reply: (edit)The HDD is SATA. But THata is not the cause, as i have tried to install Fedora 6 (Latest0, Fedora 4 .. which supports sATA. THis pobelum is somehow related to this motherboard. George Joseph
