can not edit fstab

OS: mandrake 9.1/ win xp
CPU/Ram: pentium 4 2.0 ghz 512 mb

i did a bad edit of /etc/fstab, now my computer will only bood into read-only mode, so i cant edit it back... i tried booting with a boot disk, and the same error happens. i think i may need a new boot disk, i am runing mandrake 9.1 does anyone know where a bootdisk image is? or can someone help me with my problem of editing /etc/fstab???

you can use something like "tomsrtbt", get it here http://www.toms.net/rb/

just create a directory to mount your system on, and mount it, edit what you need.

Boot to your Mandrake 9.1 installation CD. I think terminal 2 gives you a shell. From there you can mount your partition and edit /etc/fstab.
