burning iso image?

Ok, I've see through the archives how people have so much luck with burning ISO images.
Help,
I use nero burn on a nt box. I have down loaded the iso images for linux. But when I burn them to cd, all I get is one big file called linuxwhatever.iso?
How can i burn a bootable CD from windows? I have three discs of Mandrake Linux and will like to make a bootable CD from the first of them. I use Easy CD Creator to burn my CD´s. Thanks!

Simple do File --> "Record CD from CD Image". The Mandrake ISOs (and all other linux distrobustions that I've come across so far, including SuSE, RedHat, Slackware, QNX, TinyLinux, Caldera, CorelLinux, etc) are all bootable ISO images. You need not do anything to make them bootable.
