booting slax linux

i just downloaded slax linux ver 4.2.0. it is an .iso. im trying to boot from cd. i know how to boot from a cd but its not working. do i have to make the cd bootable? if so how? or if anyone knows anything about slax or any type of linux do i have to download attachments for the type of linux first. if so where do i save them to. well hopefully i solve this before i get help. thanks to everyone!!!!! i love conmuting.net!!!!!!

How are you burning the ISO? If you end up with a CD with one large file on instead of lots of directories etc then you are burning it wrong. What program are you using to burn the image? Here is a link that may help you: http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/howtoburn.html
