Hey, just wondering if anyone out there could help me. I have just installed rh9 on my second h/d (XP is on the first) and it worked fine with the default rh9 graphical bootloader... but for one reason or another the thing crashed, and now when i boot, i get dropped straight into the GRUB text bootloader. :( after some messing around i figured out the commands to get XP started, however i still cant work out how to get into redhat9.
If you have Redhat Cds then boot into rescue mode. Give argument "linux rescue" when your computer boots from redhat cd. In rescue mode your / file system will be mounted under /mnt/sysimage . Check /mnt/sysimage/etc/grub.conf for all entries and reinstall grub loader by command grub-install. Don't forget to tell it your boot device name for example /dev/hda . Hope it will work.
