boot up failure error

I have the following at bootup and now my o/s can not start. Any pointers?

Running linuxconf hooks:

setserial /dev/ttyS4 port ox30d8 irq 19 four port autoconfig

setserial /dev/ttyS5 port ox30d0 irq 19 four port autoconfig

setserial /dev/ttyS6 port ox30c8 irq 19 four port autoconfig

setserial /dev/ttyS7 port ox30c0 irq 19 four port autoconfig

setserial /dev/ttyS4 set multiport 1 0x3odf mask1 0xf

Using /lib/modules/2.4.9-6 smp/kernel/drivers/char/arp/agpgart.o

agpgart: Trying generic intel config for device id:2531

The operating system stopped at the above message.
