Comment:

I have a 40gb hardrive and i have a 20gb windows 2k partition on it. The boot partition is suppose to be on the first 1024 cylinders and what if I place it after the 20gb partition (because the 2k partition already there)...will that exceed the 1024 limit? Because I dont want lilo not to work..
thanks

instead of lilo, use grub. BTW the latest versions of lilo have overcome the 1024 boot cylinder limit. checkout www.freshmeat.net
