OS: Win XP Pro & DemoLinux 3.
CPU/Ram: PIII 550 / 384 megs
Comment:

Three FAT32 partitions as follows
Primary: Windows XP Pro
1st Logical: data
2nd Logical: DemoLinux 3.0 (www.demolinux.org)

DemoLinux is actually installed on the drive, and I can boot to it with a floppy. I also have LILO installed. I can boot to Windows XP fine; but when I try to boot DemoLinux, it gets half-way through then starts spewing a bunch of error messages in this form:
"cannot create var/log/ksymoops/200300224114521.ksyms
Read-only file system"

HERE'S WHAT MY lilo.conf LOOKS LIKE:

boot="/dev/hda"
prompt
timeout="50"
lba32
default=Windows

image="/boot/linux-2.2.20"
label="Linux"
root="/dev/hda6"
optional

other=dev/hda1
label="Windows"
