Is there like a Boot CD from Linux I can use to boot up my system and delete files on an NTFS partition? I kind of need that, Knoppix is a joke. I cannot delete ANYTHING with that piece of junk, does anyone have a distribute I have which I can boot my system from the Linux CD then modify stuff on my system?

Hahaha, I like your nome de plume.

Choices are live media. They could be a dos based, linux based, or even XP based.

The most native would be a barts CD.

If you have a Vista DVD it can also be used.

Knoppix is one of the easiest for many people. Knoppix or any other linux live cd/dvd would have to have NTFS-3G installed and working. Some require a setup. Most newer distro's are native Read Wtite support. That doesn't apply to some domain based computer.

See the small distros too. Might try astrumi.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

Mandriva One is a Live CD with ntfs-3g support so it should be able to read / wright to an ntfs partition safely. The good thing about Mandriva is that it comes with your choice of either the Gnome or KDE Desktop Environment. If you are not familiar with Linux, I suggest KDE because the Konqueror File Manager works a bit like Windows Explorer and so may make things easier.

Another choice is System Rescue CD which as the name implies is targeted at system rescue and included ntfs-3g to support read / write access to your ntfs partitions. This CD boots to a command prompt from which you can get to a GUI interface with the startx command.
