Comment:

hi,

i get this error 'bios device code 0x80 is being used by 2 disks' at the installing the bootloader part of the mandrake AMD64 10.0 install on a new machine - with 5 SATA HDD's - 2 plugged into on board promise chip, 2 plugged into PCI promise card and the other (hopefully system drive) plugged into standard on-board SATA port.

Any ideas what might be causing this problem -we have tried clearing the bios and starting again. we think we may have a MBR on more than one of the disks but can't find a way to delete them.

Thanks in advance
scott
