After an upgrade from Win98 to XPpro the partition table of my HD went crazy. All windows partitions where ok but not the same for Linux and swap partitions. Before the upgrade, my Linux root partition (RedHat 7.3) was on hde3 and the swap on hde4. Now my root is on hde4 and swap on hde3. I've modified grub and fstab parameters to boot Linux but many modules failed to load and Xserver crashed with IO fatal error. Could someone help me to find a solution to the problem? Do I have to fix the partition table or work on Linux params with an upgrade or else? Thanks!
