Comment:

Running RedHat 7.2 and using KDE, I was able to mount my cd-rom. When I put a data cd in the tray and click the icon, the cd contents display in a window. When I put in an audio cd and click the icon i get this error:

mount:wrong fs type, bad option, bad supertrack on /dev/cdrom or too many mounted file systems

Is there something I can do to display the Audio CD contents? Thanks

Most audio players in linux should automount the cd.

I've noticed sometimes burned music cd's can cause problems.

Also when you get the error, are umounting the cdrom properly?

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
umount /dev/cdrom

man mount

man can tell you the different file systems supported, such as auto,iso9660,..etc

Like:

mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

hope this helps

jerry
