Comment:

I have a Gericom notebook with suse linux 8.0 as os. I have a video card ATI Rage LT Pro with tv-out.
The problem is: when i connect the notebook to a tv (with atitvout software), picture will appear black and white on the television (pal/ntsc - i can switch in bios between pal and ntsc). I changed the tv but the result was the same.
I have the correct driver for my videocard from ati site and from suse site too.

Usually this happens if using the wrong video standard(maybe SuSE is still using PAL somehow?), or the cable is bad.
