I have a Gericom notebook with suse linux 8.0 as os. I have a video card ATI Rage LT Pro with tv-out. The problem is: when i connect the notebook to a tv (with atitvout software), picture will appear black and white on the television (pal/ntsc - i can switch in bios between pal and ntsc). I changed the tv but the result was the same. I have the correct driver for my videocard from ati site and from suse site too.
