apache - httpd won't start?

Hi I APACI installed apache 1.3.27 logged as a user. When I type /home/my-account/apache/PREFIX/bin/apachectl start I get the following; ______________________________________ fopen: No such file or directory httpd: could not open error log file PREFIX/PREFIX/logs/error_log. /home/my-account/apache/PREFIX/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started ______________________________________ It sounds similar to this presently unanswered post; http://computing.net/linux/wwwboard/forum/8964.html Can anybody help?

I assume these are not real paths and the error was PREFIX/PREFIX/log/error_log. if so, mkdir -p PREFIX/PREFIX/log or mkdir -p /home/my-account/apache/PREFIX/log and retry
