Now when I run it, right when the guy kicks out of the nvida logo, it quits and gives this error.

I would suggest trying an nvidia card with the drivers from there site if possible....even if it's a cheap card it should run OK.

nvidia is incompadible with my mother board, but I do have a nice PCI version of an ATI Radeon 9200 that I got from VisionTek that has 128mb ram, but it's not compadible with linux. And yes I tried drivers from ATI but they don;t work either.

I have found that 2 nvidia graphics cards that I have (a Riva TNT1 and GeForce 2 MX) are incompatible with my old BX motherboard (ie don't work under windoze), although I was able to work around that in linux by setting the AGP mode in XF86Config(-4) with either:
Option "NvAgp" "0" ... disable AGP support
Option "NvAgp" "1" ... use NVAGP
Option "NvAgp" "2" ... use AGPGART

Option 1 or 0 fixed it (2 is the default mode).

I am unfamiliar with the ATI 9200, but if you post up a request in this forum you may get a response from someone who has got it to work.

I did post several requests but they all said that I should get the drivers from ATI, but they just don't work
