i just installed mandrake linux 7.2 onto a 4gig western digital hard drive 10 minutes ago. everything was going fine, until i restarted as instructed, and the bios doesn't recognize my hd anymore?!?!? i've done everything relevant i can think of in the bios, and it still doesn't recognize. could my hd possibly have died, or is the problem an oversight of mine?
