Accessing Windows Partition HELP!!

i mnted the windows and i can acces it but for some reason i can only access it if i go under 'root', i don't know how to change this, wondering if anyone could help
this is the line on my fstab for the windows mount

you can use vfat instead of ntfs in your fstab entry. hope this will clear the problem

tried it didn't work :(
i try to access the mandrake control centre under 'root' and went to partition sharing and saved it under 'allow all users to access', but it doesn't seem to help
sometimes i get a message 'cannot save current module' when i acces the mandrake control center, anyone help??
