there is a program called 'explore2fs' which is an ext2 partition/s (and i think now reister) explorer program.

If you have only a few files to copy you can start linux and insert an MSDOS floppy.
Type:

mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

mcopy file_name /mnt/floppy

there is also Captain Nemo (i think 3.0 is most recent).
but then again, my unregistered Shareware
version seemed to suck quite a bit
