Hi,
I've got a Dell Inspiron 8100 with 3Com internal network card and 3Com 56K mini-PCI modem. I'd like to know if there is any driver for it for RedHat Linux 7.2.

Winmodem does not work with Linux (or I never had a luck). I had to buy a hardware modem (pc card) for my Laptop

A regular 3com 56k winmodem does work. I had it working before but because of the trial with microsoft DELL does not want to face the wrath of BILL GATES so they took off the drivers from their site.
I know you will have better luck with Linux Mandrake 8.1
Email me and I'll let you know in the future if I find it.

I never heard of a mini pci modem.
You should get a standard modem.
I just checked the support site and they have a 3com 56k pci driver for REDHAT 6.2 So it should work with 7.2 as well. This driver is for the DELL L---C workstation
