Hey I'm trying to get gentoo up and running on my laptop. It's the first time I've really tried getting a laptop up and fully running with linux and I could use some help. Does anyone know where I can get the patches to make my intel 845 Chipset work?
This is the output my lspci:

0000:02:06.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)
0000:02:07.0 CardBus bridge: ENE Technology Inc CB1410 Cardbus Controller
0000:02:0a.0 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82xxxxx UHCI USB 1.1 Controller (rev 50)
0000:02:0a.1 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82xxxxx UHCI USB 1.1 Controller (rev 50)
0000:02:0a.2 USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. USB 2.0 (rev 51)
0000:03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)
So naturally, those are the things I need to get up and running. I've already got my wireless card going with ndiswrapper (posting using it now).In short, any help finding these patches and tips on getting linux to fully work on a laptop like this (Sager 5660) would be helpful!

For your NIC try the 8139too kernel module and for your VGA card get the ATI drivers from their website.
