yes, when I installed 7.2 rh I used grub as my boot loader. I usually use a floppy disk to boot linux and that way when I turn my computer on it automaticly boots windows, well this time I accedently put grub as the mbr on the first partition and cant boot to windows xp I guess my question is can I remove grub and how or if need be how can I add windows xp to grub? I would really like to use the floppy for linux and have mt computer boot to windows as normal. Thank you in advance.

Boot up with a DOS bootdisk. Windows 95 or 98 or ME boot disks work fine. Then once you get the DOS prompt, type in the command: fdisk /mbr That should do it.

Forget a dos bootdisk, it wont work for win2k/xp. Boot with the WinXP cd, run emergency recovery, and try to get to the console recovery option. At the c:\ prompt run fixmbr and fixboot.
