the font on my IPad became too big all of a sudden. How can I restore the default normal font to my IPad?
Two things might have happened.
1. You may have the zoom turned on. Double tap the screen with 3 fingers to zoom out.
2. you may have turned on the large text option. Go into Settings, General, Accessibility and turn off the large text option.
