We have always been able to sync my Ipad 1st generation to PC but it is now saying that the USB device is not Recognized. It works with my Ipod and Ipad 2 though.
Try connecting the iPad to another computer to verify whether it's the iPad or the computer having issues.
Thanks for the advice. I just tried that and it looks like it is the iPad. Can you suggest anything more? Any help would be appreciated.
You could try a reset.
Hold down the home button and the sleep button until you see the Apple logo. If you see the screen that tells you to swipe to turn off, ignore it just keep holding the two buttons until you see the Apple logo, then let it boot.If that doesn't work, then try a factory restore. This will wipe out all data on the iPad but it maybring it back to working condition.
