Lexmark Z715 Printer was performing OK (by the way I hate the damned thing) and then all of a sudden I got a message which sadly I have forgotten but it was the shank of the evening and I was not alert. Anyway the thing Quit and the paper was stuck and when i Opened the top there was a big Loop in the tape when the carriage returns to the loading of cartridges (was that supposed to happen?)Anyway I clicked PRINT a couple of times and nothing happened. i will go back and be very alert and see if there is anything else I should tell you. Thanks, Grace---Love this site.

The loop is a flexible ribbon cable that is sending data to the cartridge and print head chips,it is supposed to be flexible.

Try unplugging the printer for a few minutes, then replugging it, as it may simly need to be reset.

If another message appears, jot it down, t could be a Lexmark software driver problem,or a conflict in Windows.

Whenever the printer stops working ,don't force Windows to continue the print command.
