My old Toshiba laptop's battery life is now about 30 minutes (I still have a service plan for it and it's almost three years old but I doubt the service plan would cover a new battery).
Anyways, I wanna make sure the same problem doesn't happen with my new one. After the initial charge/discharge etc...what steps should I take to maintain the battery life?
I'm someone who generally has the laptop plugged into the wall and makes use of the battery rarely (but I'm in uni so I occasionally need to use the battery). From what I've heard, you should discharge your battery either completely or to around 5% and then recharge it. You should also not have it plugged into the AC adapter for more than 2 weeks? I've read mixed advice so what would you recommend?
