Hi guys, I have and ATI Radeon 9550 graphics card and was experimenting with the S-Video out port on it when I had an unexpected problem.
The card's ports consist of a VGA, DVI and S-Video out port, I have two monitors plugged into the VGA and DVI ports (the other VGA monitor is plugged into the DVI port using an adapter).
I played around with the S-Video cable for a while to no avail, I couldn't get it to work. Although once I went back to using the computer I noticed that the monitor plugged in (via adapter) to the DVI port has a slight yellow tinge to it.
I have ensured that the cables are pushed in properly, and I have noticed that if I plug in the S-Video cable and play with it, plug it into the TV etc, the intensity of yellow-ness (haha) increases. Although sometimes the tinge is less it is still noticable and it is really annoying me.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If I switch which monitor is plugged into which port, the effect is reversed and the other monitor has a yellow tinge, leading me to believe that the problem lies within the video card or it's configuration, or the adapter.

It seems like you have diagnosed the problem. Check the adapter controls in Display Propetties > Settings > advanced > Adapter.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

I don't think the adapter tab actually applies to the DVI => VGA adapter I am using between the DVI port and my monitors VGA cable.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, reset all factory settings on the card, made sure the colour is right gamma etc, no luck.
Please help!

And don't forget that you may need to use high quality cables with those
ie. gold plated
or gold pinned
