Hi All I have just installed Yahoo Messenger Beta version 7. Never used it before, have always used, MSM Messenger The problem I am having is with my, Creative Webcam Live Pro, not working with Yahoo Messenger. When I start the cam Yahoo Messenger completely freezes. Everything else works OK on the PC while this is happening and the CPU usage stays very low, not going to 100%. I can then not end the task thorough Task Manager or shut down my PC. The only way is to press and hold in the main off button. I have checked in, Yahoo preferences/webcam settings and both camera settings and camera source are grayed out (unable to change.) I have also tried a registry tweak suggested on a Yahoo help page. All my drivers are up to date for both cam and graphics card. I have a feeling it's to do with something called "ATI Rage Theater Video Capture," being set to default. MSM Messenger works just fine with the cam. I did search this forum and noticed the same problem a couple of times but no real answer was given. Thanks for any help and answers. PhilC

Hi Phil, the reason this type of question does not get well answered is because you are using Beta software. Beta means that the preliminary tests seem ok but now it is being tested in the public domain by people like you. You seem to have found one of the bugs that needs to be fixed.

Hello, I'm running Yahoo Messenger 7 final release (not the BETA) and I've got the same problem at the moment of using my Logitech webcam. Yahoo Messenger always freezes, everything woks OK but Messenger don't. There is another thing I've noticed when I run (and only) Yahoo Messenger the language icon gets gray.
