Why do people prefer the XTX GF 6600GT 128MB PCI-E to the XTX GF 6600GT 256MB graphic card?

Is the 265MB version an AGP card? if it is, than thats why. People prefer PCI-E video cards to the AGP of the same type. Because PCI-E (PCI-Express) is cheaper and faster, than AGP. I don't know how much faster, but it is faster.
