ive been seeing those mini cube computers and i havent been able to figure them out. are they just a square case that you can fit everything that you would put in a normal case in them? or do they have special smaller parts. can someone explain to me how this works or where i can get more info on it. thanx.

Hi,
In a nutshell,
The Cube was designed to bridge the gap that exists between new "mini" cases on the market with their limited upgradeability, and tower cases which are not easily mobile.
The case can hold a full size ATX motherboard and full size components but it is more mobile

Hi aluminumriot:
These PCs are made for transporting or the need for a small size PC. They usually have only 2 ports (one AGP & one PCI port), although they can be used for a gaming machine they're not as fast as a full size PC. You can only have one HD, one floppy, & one CD-ROM or DVD. Go to Shuttle XPC > http://www.shuttle.com/hq/Good Luck,

No. They take a special mobo and power supply

wait a minute johnoh, i looked at the site where u got that pik from and i see somfin different of what im talkin about. im talkin bout the cubes like in here http://www.shuttle.com/hq/
some pleeze explain this to me.aluminumriot

Most of our PCs conform to the ATX spec which dictates the size and specs of power supplies, motherboards, and cases.
mini cases such as (I thought) we were talking about here have mini power supplies and mini motherboards. They sometimes can handle a normal agp card, pci cards, hard drive, etc, and sometimes not. You have to dig into the specs. They will include such terms as itx, flex-atx, mini-itx, SFF, etc. They will not use the term ATX.
But there are also some mini cube cases which are atx. Those cases are compatible with your components. Which does not mean they have an agp slot. A case can be ATX and have no agp slot.
