XP on Patriot 500 celeron

I have to repair a Patriot 500mhz whose os has crashed - If I install win98 will I be able to get the drivers etc ? Would I be better off installing XP ? advice please

XP would run fine on that system. I have run XP on a P2 266MHz, 128Mb and my familys computer is a Celeron 400MHz, 128Mb and both computers run better on that than on 98Se.
